Will not putting references severely hurt my chances of getting the job?

I applied for a construction laborer job. Got a call back and it seemed like I was going to get the job and then they send me an email with a link to what is basically another application but more in depth than the one I already did. There was a bunch of text boxes to fill out, some with the “required” asterisk symbol and some optional. One of them was references and it had the asterisk meaning I had to fill out the box to continue. I needed 3 references. I decided to put “Nobody” for the name for all three and “none” for the contact information. Why did I do this you ask? Because I’m an idiot. For whatever reason I didn’t think it was important and I guess I just wanted to be done with it as fast as possible. I know that’s so stupid. I did give them the name of my current employer tho and said they could contact them. I definitely do have references I could have put in but I was just being a jacka**. The link is expired or something now so I can’t go back in and edit it. Do you think this will hurt my chances of getting the job? And if so do you think I could apply again in a couple weeks and not be such a imbecile?
