Should I email hiring manager after meeting with their boss?

I'm interviewing for a midlevel position at my current company in the telecom industry. I met with the hiring manager last week, who set up the next meeting with their boss, a VP. He and I met this week, and I think it went fairly well.

I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow, so I'm wondering if it's appropriate to email the hiring manager and let him know I'll technically be off, but available if anything comes up? It seems harmless, but just don't want to come across too aggressively.
