I left my job at a small company a couple weeks ago because I was relocating. I gave them 6 weeks notice and spent my last 3 weeks training my replacement. I made over 30 guides for them, went through everything not just with my replacement but also with the other employees to ensure that all bases were covered.
Since I left, I have received multiple phone calls from my former coworkers every business day. They call me from the company line and also call & text me on their personal cell phones. They ask me questions like how to change the company's Amazon password and why some random website doesn't load etc which have absolutely nothing to do with me and they can easily just Google these things. They also call & text me to gossip about people's personal lives. I don't think it's reasonable to repeatedly call me at night to gossip - even texting would be more reasonable.
I stopped answering their calls because I am no longer affiliated with the company and it's become clear that the nature of the calls are not important at all. I went to the office recently to pick up something I had left behind and they had a whole list of work questions for me to answer when I went there. I spent a half hour helping them with their work questions.
When I resigned, I told them that I am available to answer any questions they might have but I think they have taken my offer way too far. I don't want to burn any bridges and block them because they are nice people and we got along well while I worked there, but they are suffocating me. I feel so much anger every time my phone rings from them and I want this to end. I don't want to mute my phone either because I am job hunting at the moment and I don't want to miss a call from a potential prospect.
How do I communicate with them that I don't want to be contacted going forward unless it's actually important? Or should I just keep ignoring them and let them get the hint? I still want them to be my references as this was my first real job out of college and I would like to still keep an amicable friendship with my coworkers going forward.
TL;DR: My former coworkers call me repeatedly every day for help with every tiny little thing and I can't take it anymore. Need advice on how to handle this because it's affecting me but I don't want to burn bridges.
