Been unemployed since April when laid off in a super competitive field (Marketing Communications). Quite a few interviews because I have a lot of education and experience but never make it past one or two rounds. This isn't my first rodeo with a layoff and it is so demoralizing. Finally made it as a finalist to an interview where an offer is being extended to someone tomorrow at the latest. I even followed through today and asked if all candidates would hear this week regardless as I'm going away for New Year's where cell reception is spotty (remote cabin). No reply. On Monday I was told of the timeline and that I was in the top of the candidates but silence since. I'm just SO defeated and frustrated.
