I applied to basically the same job at the same company, but in two different countries and got interviews with both. How do I fix this mess I made?

I got laid off because of covid and have been looking for another full-time job for months. I haven't had like any luck getting like any interviews, so even when I finally did get a single interview and make it to the second, I was and am still worried that I'm going to fall short. The second interview seemed to go well, but after waiting a week, I started doubting myself. I decided to still apply to other jobs. The company I got an interview with at is an international company, locations in my country and in the country the company started in. They just happened to have basically the same position, but at in the company's mother country. A week later, I got an interview with them and just finished it. Both of them want people that can do the job as well as understand the language and culture of the mother country. During the interview with mother country company, I told the person that I am still interviewing with the other location and he was visibly shocked, but we still continued the interview like normal.

In hindsight, it was absolutely stupid of me to do that and I should have more confidence in myself, but putting all of my eggs in one basket sounds just as bad. Both locations have ups and downs like potential wage and being able to get better at the mother company's language. I finished the first interview with the mother company last week and they say that they will likely get back with me in the upcoming year. I have yet to hear back from the first company, which is where I live. I'm going to be doing a follow up email with the mother company soon, but am considering include the hiring manager from the first company, addressing the predicament I put everyone in. I really feel like I should because it lets them know that I recognize my own mistake for basically making two different locations fight for me. What should I do?
