My mom had a stroke a number of years ago that left some visual and neurological damage. She has a job at a condo complex doing miscellaneous tasks like yard work and snow shoveling so it works for her but the income flow is very unsteady so I've been mainly supporting her since I work full time.
Some stuff has happened and she might need to find somewhere else to work. This might benefit her because she would be able to get a job with a steady and predictable income. The issue is that she has some visual and cognitive impairments so it would be hard to find something for her as she wouldn't be able to do something like cashiering.
Prior to the stroke, she had her own income tax business so she is very smart but the damage from the stroke has given her some major limitations. This is probably all unnecessary info for the main point, but does anyone know of any services or agencies that would be able to help her locate a job? I know some of them can charge an arm and a leg and we're trying to avoid that but I would just love for her to have a steady income so she can have more financial independence.
