To understand my point, I'll use actual numbers:
At my last job, my salary was 64,000 and our company paid monthly. After 401k, taxes, other deductions, I took home around $4,000 a month.
At my new job that I started last month, I'm making 72,000 annually and they pay out bi-weekly. After 401k, taxes, and other deductions, my bi-weekly paycheck is $2,000.
Is there something I'm missing here? I'm putting in the same contribution to my 401k and living in the same city. So how is it that I'm making $8,000 more compared to my previous job but my paycheck is the same?!
