Can I use a supervisor from a job 6 years ago?

I applied for a RN position at a hospital and was contacted for 3 supervisory references.

I had them ready but one of them is “weak” and I don’t think she will provide a strong reference. I was casually talking to an old supervisor of mine and he said that I’m more than welcome to list him as a supervisor.

We worked together at one place 6 years ago. Is it okay if I can list him? Thanks again.
