Ok, so I know these types of questions have been asked fairly often but I am freaking out slightly bc of it. basically, I submitted THREE applications for the same company [different positions] with glaring typos. One of the apps was rejected - hopefully because ATS rejected it and not bc a human saw the typo.
but the typos were all in the same sentence: "I am passionate about puruing a career in thr Trust and Safety sectors." [I also spelled advertisements as "advertisments" but uhhh I'm hoping that's not as obvious]
and before anyone judges let me just say I feel SOOOOO stupid. I am so embarrassed. I proofread ALL the time but for this application, I just chose not to for some reason. I remember just adding that sentence at the end super quickly and not reviewing it. I don't know how these big companies read over resumes, or whether the humans just skim and don't really read cover letters, or if I could be rejected for positions where I DIDNT have a typo simply because my other apps were shit. I tried to withdraw the application or edit it and there is literally no way to do so. I wanted to apply under a different email but I'm paranoid that they might have a tool that checks for double applications. Honestly, how fucked am I? Idk man after months of applying to positions big and small with no avail, this kind of just makes me feel like crap. especially because this is my dream company as well
