Interviewed for job, asked for references the next day, and now the job is reposted.

I interviewed for a job on Thursday that id say I fit what they're looking for very well. I was still surprised to get a "next steps" email from them asking for my references as well as background check on Friday. I'm also aware asking for references is a good sign but doesn't mean I got the job and I'm not in the clear till I get an offer.

One of my references sent in the reference on Saturday and the other reference said they'll send theirs in on Monday. So I doubt they could make a decision based off my references yet.

I saw they reposted the job posting today (Sunday), should I take this as a bad sign or just be confident and hope for the best?
