Internships after graduation

My situation:

I'm about to graduate with BS degree and thinking about applying for graduate school next year. So, during the time gap, I'm thinking about doing internships.

So my questions are:

• Is it an acceptable behavior or normal thing for graduates to apply internships? (I've never seen any graduate apply for internships before, so I wondered if employers would think I'm odd or a candidate with problems.)
• Do you guys think it's okay to tell the interviewers that I won't get any full-time position for their company soon because I'm planning for graduate admission?
