So let me start by saying that in no way do I think my parents are completely to blame.
However... I wasn’t exactly told how to even attempt to find a career that suited me well. I have no idea what I’m doing.
I’m 30 years old. I need to pick a career, I’m tired of making close to minimum wage.
I tend to be an extremely fast learner and my interests are many.
What I have experience in
- automotive repair -automotive parts sales -sales -customer service -line cook -door to door sales (yeah.. I know) -team building and managing
I have no degree, I managed to get my real estate license but I felt so out of place in a workplace that is slowly becoming obsolete. People don’t need others to sell them houses lol.
What I think I’d be good at...
Engineering (im obsessed with problem solving, it’s why I like cars so much)
Being a motivational manager or leader of some sort. I used to lead board room meetings for new salespeople 5 times a week and I felt like I was successful. People tend to understand my direction and I made many people successful at their job.
What am I doing now? I’m basically just doing whatever I can to get by. Mostly door dash and delivery apps because it’s booming right now due to the pandemic.
But I feel like for the last 12 years I’ve wasted time. I don’t know how to really choose what I would be good at.
I’m not really looking for you guys to decide for me I guess I just want to hear stories of others who were in my shoes and how they came to their decisions.
