So I am looking to possibly get a new job. Part of doing so includes updating my resume, here's the catch:
While I'm searching for a new job (on the down-low), I still have a job. It is important for me to showcase this job on my resume. My concern is if say I submit my resume to some random company, is it very possible they will contact my current employer?
I would definitely not want that to happen. Imagine your boss getting a call out of the blue and asking about an applicant that turns out to be someone who currently works for you and completely blindsiding him. That would obviously cause for some awkward conversations and tension. You almost have to leave at that point. It's like flirting with other people when you have a partner.
Any insight, advice, and direction is appreciated.
