I’m in the military & am finishing up my deployment. Currently my civilian job is as a Corrections Officer at a jail. (HATE it.)
I have the money saved up & plan on going to get my real estate license.
I was also called by a local carpenters union that wants to hire me as an apprentice, even though I have zero experience.
Should I get my license AND do the apprenticeship? I’ve heard it’s nearly impossible to be a realtor part time & be successful. And I know apprenticeship often bind you in 4 year contracts.
Oh yea, I’m married with a 1 year old by the way 😬 I like the idea of carpentry for the 1st shift & weekends off aspect. (I’m not used to that.)
Thank you for your advice!
