I'm filling out the paperwork for my first full time payed job as an adult and don't really have anyone to look over it all. I'm going to turn it in tomorrow, and have a couple forms left to sign due to them requiring a witness. I can't ask my parents to look over them because my parents don't know about my employment history. They didn't want me to have a job during college, but I got a couple very brief temp jobs in secret. Nothing that ever made over $300.
Would it be frowned upon to ask the person serving as a witness to look over my paperwork, at least to make sure I didn't overlook something that needs filling out?
What happens in the case that I accidentally put something wrong on a form? Such as the W2 or direct deposit? More specifically tax papers though.
Is there a chance that the employer could call one of my family members to confirm my job history? Like I said, my family doesn't know I have an employment history, but it's nothing I want to get fired over if the employer thought I lied on my resume.
I just really worry that I'll get fired or something for a mistake on paper. Also, is filling out paperwork a near guarantee that I have the job? I know it's not a 100% guarantee, but they gave me paperwork and a start date.
