I posted about a month earlier about my situation Earlier post.
For a little bit of more background, after graduating from college in May, I was sending out multiple job applications. From this, I got two viable job options. Company A was more so a filler and Company B (the job I refer to in my earlier post) is the job that best aligns with the career I'm looking for in the long term. Both ended up overlapping since Company A had to do an extensive background check that took weeks and Company B has a lengthy hiring process.
Currently, I'm on my way to start work for Company A, a work from home position, and training will be held the second week of October. As for Company B, I was contacted last week for a criminal history check and was told that I would be notified of the final decision within two to three weeks. Due to timing, it's possible that when I start training/working with Company A, I'll receive the final decision from Company B which I'm hopeful will be a job offer. If this happens, I do intend to leave Company A as it doesn't align with my career path and Company B has far better pay and benefits.
If this is how it works out how would you advise is the best way to go about quitting? Should I still offer two weeks? As well, I would have to be meeting with Company A to drop off computer equipment that they'll be giving me next week. I know this is all hypothetical since I don't have anything yet but would like to know in advance in case it does happen. Thank you!
