I am a developer, quit my current job after almost five years because my performance is basically zero. I've done good work for two-three years, and that's still most coworkers opinion of me. However I needed to quit before they notice I do almost nothing anymore.
I somehow landed a job that is $10k more a year. I believe it's my final destination (government job) and I want to stay in this one and become a senior developer. But looking back at my work history I clearly die inside after 2 approx years in any kind of job. I also quit if someone is toxic (frequently, over a long period time)
How to stay and do good work forever? How do some people work in the same company for 40 years?
Btw I have ADHD so I can get super focused and sometimes not at all. So I have a lot of ups and downs...
