Anyone work in HR or as a hiring manager who knows what typically takes place after reference checks and before making an offer?
My references submitted their forms last week and I thought I might hear something within a couple days of that, but haven’t heard anything. Does it take long after the reference checks to assemble an offer? Both my references said they “sang my praises” so I don’t anticipate the references raised any red flags. Also, it’s a county government position if that helps. Maybe it’s just the bureaucracy of county government?
Have I had my expectations distorted by my experiences with recent jobs? (My last two jobs provided me with a verbal offer within a day of the interview)
