Recent grad. What now?

I just finished a master's degree in software engineering and I am looking for opportunities for my first job. Most job positions require at least 2+ years of experience in various technologies. I had a couple of interviews where questions got really technical, but even though I have my master's, it seems I do have the ability to integrate those positions because I am not really specialized in X or Y technology.

I just want to know what is the common path after taking a master's degree. Do people go for junior positions or professional internships? Are hiring managers flexible when it comes to hiring a recent grad?
