TL;DR - What should I reasonably expect for work hours and work/life balance at AWS Professional Services (legal team)?
I recently accepted an offer to join a legal team within AWS Professional Services. This is not a moment too soon having been essentially unemployed for 5 months. The role is also a big step forward for me. I'm very grateful and excited but but mixed with plenty nerves and anxiety.
One thing I've not been able to get answers to is the hours and work/life balance I should reasonably expect. Most postings online run the gamut from "they'll gut your soul" to "it's not nearly as bad as everyone thinks." I realize every team at AWS (and Amazon in general) has a different structure, different demands, etc. That said, anyone have recent experience at AWS and can maybe shed some light? I didn't ask the recruiter or my future colleagues. My fear was that would come across poorly, not to mention I'm used to receiving corporate-approved responses.
