My 30M brother has never had a job and is starting to realize how serious this is. How do I help?!?!

My brother has never had a job, lives with my parents, and just turned 30. He is a good person, has a BS in Business, extremely personable, people love him, but has never gotten a job. He floats in and out of depression/anxiety and basically shuts down with stress. Pushing him to get a job was a self fulfilling problem where he would put in some work to get it, it wouldn't work out and he would shut down completely. With the “Im not good enough, I suck”, threat of suicide sort of in the background enough that my parents would back off and everyone would pretent he will just do it later. Rinse and repeat for years until here we are. I have tried getting him into all sorts of things. I have pushed for therapy, volunteering, ANYTHING, to get him going I got him volunteering at a animal shelter that initially was going great. Literally applying for him and going so far as to just tell him when and where to show up. They loved him and it got him out of the house and doing something on a regular schedule and it was going so good there was even talk about hiring him. Then for whatever reason it just ended. He wont talk about it. He wont start up anything else and it almost feels like that was the effort for the month or year.

. My parents want him to get a job but completely enable him. For years he had a credit card with no limit. He wouldn’t buy much but he would rack up a couple thousand a month in video games and junk food. I have begged them to cut him off. Or at the least he cant use the credit card unless he takes positive steps, like therapy but they won’t commit. If you tell him point blank this is a serious problem he agrees to get through the conversation, and then nothing happens! I have sat down with him and applied for jobs. We do four or five. I tell him he should be doing that many every day and he just does not. He’ll fart out a application to a place and wait weeks to get a rejection and ohh well that was application for the month. I do believe he wants a job but somehow believes he should be making six figures and is to good for entry level jobs. This is changing though and he’s more open to it but wont put in the work.

For the last year he has been applying for jobs but usually for bank management positions and other jobs he has no chance of getting. I know he is actually trying though. He really wants a job.
