Experience labels like “entry level” should be replaced with years of experience on job sites

I am sick of looking for an entry level job and half the listings require 5+ years of experience. It’s probably actually saying “this isn’t an entry level position but we’re going to pay you like it is.” Let me search by years of experience required! Every site is guilty of having vague labels that can mean anything. I know years can be inflated some times and you can be hired with less, but at least it’s not up for interpretation by the HR department what seniority level this job actually is. The current system makes looking for an actual entry level job depressing when you aren’t qualified for most of the roles because they aren’t actually entry level.
