Did I miss out on this job opportunity?

So, I'm a recruiter and I feel like I should know/understand this process, but it's hard when you're the one in it.

I have a FT job, but just purchased a house and was looking for a weekend job, just to be able to save a little more now that my expenses are higher.

I found the perfect position for me. Saturday and Sunday, 7am-4pm, remote.

I fit the description perfectly. I actually used and enjoyed the company before.

By the time I saw the posting, it was 17 days old.

I applied Sunday.

Monday morning at 8 am, I recieved an email asking me to fill out more information as to why I was interested in the position, answer a few "scenario" questions etc and was told the pay.

Tuesday morning at 8 am I was asked to fill out a problem solving questionnaire for on the job challenges I may encounter.

It had been 3 days since and I have not heard back.

I honestly think I did well on the questionnaire. I researched the company and knew it from both a consumer and prospective employee end.

I sent an email yesterday asking if my questionnaire was recieved, since I did it on my phone. No response yet.

I checked today and the posting was removed.

From my end, that means the job is taken.

Anytime I take more than a day to get back to a candidate, it means the job is filled and I know I'll have to let them know.

For candidates that we are eager to hire or we don't want to lose, we jump immediately on any communication.

Do you think that's what happened to me? Or is there a possibility that the posting removal just indicates they are not accepting more applications?

I know I won't know until I know (or if I'm ghosted), but I am curious about someone else's take.
