At my job, we are compensated great. However, some months due to bonus, the income is less. The first paycheck of the month is also just base salary.
My manager recently called me about 1 month ago and gave me a 2k raise because of how hard I've been working. Now...
I want to ask for another 5k to complete a full 10k raise. My initial raise this year was 3k, add this 2k, and we're at 5k.
I feel like with the massive amount of volume, massive revenue i make this company on a monthly basis.. I want to ask for another raise. Last month i moved about 10.5 million in volume, which is about 131k in revenue in 1 part of the transaction not including fees. With fees its about 200k. Then, we also make money again on that and ends up totalling close to a million.
And I'm asking for 5k more. Recently they increased the bonuses again for rest of the year which i am very grateful for, but it's how low the first paycheck of the month is. Just having a bigger base gives me a better sense of security. I don't plan on leaving this company, they are phenomenal. But i feel having a higher base is necessary with the amount of work I'm doing.
I've never asked for a raise like this. Thoughts?
