So I applied to 20+ jobs over the past month. Originally got into Starbucks. Turned down 2 jobs. Starbucks went on hiring pause. Applied to a mass of places. Got many, many callbacks. Accepted the first one which was aerie. Got a call from chick fil a for an interview and was waiting on that. Accepted the next job which was Ross. I was gonna drop aerie for chick fil a if I got it cause it would be by Ross and they pay more. Chick fil a postponed the interview because of COVID. (I want two jobs btw, I have nothing else to do) Literally got a few calls later. Turned them down. Now I’m reconsidering taking the jobs that called me after Ross since they’re closer to aerie, specifically Walmart. I tried to call Walmart back but I wasn’t sure of my availability when they asked originally I told them I already accepted a position somewhere else. I feel dumb but I really couldn’t have know. I feel like begging them for a job like that can actually be impressionable on them and they’ll actually remember me if I do apply again. What would you have done? How do I turn down jobs and be able to call them to backtrack if needed?
