Trying to change career paths, any advice?

I joined a large software company as a BDR right out of college and I’ve been at the company for a year. I hate it. I’m anticipating being fired in a month or two as my quota attainment is very bad. I’ve been applying to jobs since January and have had no luck. Ideally I’d like to get out of sales so I’m applying to pretty much anything on LinkedIn that is not a sales role. The problem is that when I do (very rarely) land a phone interview I’m told that while I wouldn’t be a fit for the role I applied to, they think I could be a good fit for their sales team. I guess my question is, how do I change career paths when I only have experience in sales?
