Remote work w/ travel requirements...

I am weighing the pros and cons of accepting a position that would require me to travel 2 or 3 times a month to the opposite coast where the office is located. The remainder of the work would be remote. The state I'd travel to is one I love & miss and intend to live in again eventually.

For those of you who do it, or have done it, what was the worst part of the travel?

I'm childless and my husband is currently deployed, so the normal cons people think of aren't glaringly obvious to me right now. I just want to make sure I'm making a very informed decision.
