How To Quit Due to School After Originally Saying It Wouldn’t Be a Problem

I am a full time college student(US) who is going back to school in the fall. Mid June, I got hired at a backup job in retail because of my not being able to get an internship. The backup job is full time, 40 hrs a week and not seasonal(it’s year round) and I’m the only person there working in that specialty position(they had been looking for someone to fill that position for awhile)At the interview for my backup job, they asked if me going to school in the fall will conflict with working there and I said no. However, my school plans on doing in person classes now with the occasional online class but I still need to be away and wouldn’t be able to work the 40 hours. How do I tell my employer that I can’t work there anymore?

(I actually like working there for the most part)
