Hey everyone,
I got this message from a recruiter from Google:
"My name is Google Recruiter and I recruit technical and program managers here at Google. I came across your LI profile and was extremely impressed with your background. Not sure if you're open to opportunities at this time, but I would love to setup a time to briefly chat about what you're doing in your current role, learn more about what your next career move would look like and see if there is a potential match at Google!"
I scheduled to talk with him next week on Monday.
About me: I am a technical project manager for an integrator/electrical firm in the northeast. I'm happy with my salary (I got a 24% pay bump when I joined last year) and I love my position and my coworkers. I really like the fact that there's an office 25 minutes from my house, and if I want to get away from my home office then I can visit there. I'm going to work on my MBA potentially starting this year. I'm thinking I want to opportunity to pivot into a business role in the future.
It appears the nearest Google office is 75 minutes from me, and if this is true then working out of the office full-time wouldn't be an option. Also read on Glassdoor that Google works their employees to death. My girlfriend is worried they will do this to me.
What sorts of questions would you ask the recruiter if you were in my shoes?
Thanks!
