I applied to a soft count job where someone referred me. I also went through a temp agency that same day and accepted a warehouse janitor job because I guess I was desperate. I would honestly would prefer the soft count job too but I'm not confident they will call me. I don't think a referral gurantees that I will get hired but they told me they were quitting soon so I will get hired to take their spot when they leave. Now I'm regretting taking the janitor job and feel like I should had waited to hear from the soft count one first because my family keeps asking why I didn't wait for their call.
