(IT) Why are there no jobs available right now?

I put in "entry level IT near me" and I get zilch, less than 10 where I can only really do one or two where before I was getting multiple pages. I live in PA where lockdowns have ended, so what gives? What is the time frame for recovery, I'd rather not be unemployed and rotting at my parents house for years until I can get a job.

What can I do for income in the meantime? I get unemployment right now, but what else can I do?
