I currently have an interview tomorrow for an entry level job in a private insurance company, and I am starting to question if the job is a scam. I applied for the job on Handshake, and although the website and company itself seem legitimate, there are some red flags. First of all, they want me to pay for the license fee which seems strange, because shouldn't a company pay for that? Also, the job is remote, 100% commission with no base, and the job is labeled as an "independent contractor". And now that I am properly rereading the job description on Handshake, I am noticing some grammar and spelling mistakes. I haven't been able to find any reviews on the company at all. It seems like the company might be trying to prey on young college students, but I'm not sure.
