I make $90k in HR. I loved my job at first But now it has turned into something completely different. My role has changed almost 3 times. The constant change It’s starting to become A source of stress. And trust me, it’s not about to get any easier. The amazing boss I had Quit, because the company has been bought out shortly before I was hired and he said he hated What it has become. New boss has now extended my hours from 8 AM to 6 PM, and I am fully expected not to take a lunch even though they never said it. I am the only one at the moment it also doesn’t work on the weekends, only because I have been trying to stand my ground.
I have little ones at home and only see them for an hour a day. I very much want to have another baby, But after nine months of trying, I am wondering if the stress of my job is playing a big role.
My husband makes about 20,000 less but told me that the stress isn’t worth it and he would be OK if I walked out the door.
The commute is over an hour.
I am just looking for some feedback or guidance.
Other facts:
Almost all the salary people I have started with quit because of the stress. Others have taken mental leaves.
My boss text me During Easter and told me I needed to work more
When I started the job I was working about 8/9 a day But was delivering extremely high level results. The longer days now has me prone to making accidents because I am exhausted.
I am actively applying for positions, I had to clients in the past; With Covid though it has been a tough market
TLDR: I make good money, but the job has gotten overwhelming and there’s no end in sight. I barely see my kids, but it is very hard saying goodbye to that type of income.
