Hello I am about to be a college freshman in the fall semester I am currently 18 I have been studying computer science seriously since about 7th grade or about 13ish years old I am mostly self taught I have taken 4 years of classes at my school including 2 years independent study I have interned at UTMB, I have designed and created a wash washing machine entirely coded by me for a NASA competition placing me in top 3 in the US I have done some small "work" and projects for some more local companies around here but I am looking for my first REAL job and with covid and everything its been a little difficult to even start looking any tips for getting a first job? anything in technology would really be fine for me I've done full stack web work, I can program in several languages, I'm good with linux/unix, and am generally pretty comfortable with anything with computers. I am open to remote work but i am attempting to work off my college fees so work is pretty important for me to find any help??? any tips/tricks or places to look is greatly appreciated as well as any developers who can share their first jobs stories.
