Need help putting a 'customer-service' spin on a university research (assistant) position

I'm a university student (undergrad), looking for a part-time job over the summer like many others. Looking mostly into retail and food-service, so very customer-focused environments. One job I am applying to asks me to describe a recent time I gave ~excellent~ customer experience in my MOST recent job/role (and also to include what I did and why it was effective). My most recent role was being a research assistant in a university lab. I'm undergrad so my work there is pretty limited and nowhere on par with grad students. I dissect, I do cool science-y things, and I take pictures and analyze them on the computer. I also do a lot of lab maintenance and clean-up, like keeping track of inventory and replacing sanitary tissues and gloves when needed, cleaning flasks, making chemical solutions that are communally required for everyone to do their thing, helping the grad students with the more tedious sides of their projects (mostly cleaning and preparing culture sides). I feel that I have a good way to spin a very team-oriented experience with all of that. But I just don't know how to spin it so that it's "customer experience/service". Please help
