Hi i am almost at the end of my contract (im a contractor through an agency and i have questions about going permanent/the process)

Hello!

I am on a current assignment that i LOVE, they mentioned in the interview that they would be looking to hire for permanent positions. However, i am the only person that got hired. One girl showed up and then she stopped after 2 days, and two more were supposed to start the third week of march, but everyone in the office was sent home to work from home due to the current pandemic so they were unable to start. So in reality i have no "competition" as to who has done a better job over the other.

I have never gone through a recruiter/agency before.

I did speak with who did hire me and speaking my interest for going permanent as i really am in love with my job. They said they are doing staffing models (im unsure what that means but i assume a hiring process)

My contract ends may 15th, i still havent really heard anything from the person who interviewed/hired me for the 3 month assignment.

Should i speak with my recruiter about this as well? Again, ive never gone through one, but i know if i were hired permanently earlier than the 15th they would have to buy the recruiter company out of my contract. I just am unsure of how to go about it!

Im just worried, and this is the absolute best job i have had in almost 7 years. I would be honestly devastated to lose it.
