Sudden Vacation Days for Whole Team

it's 9pm and I just got an urgent call from my manager at work telling the whole team to take the next 2 days of the week off. Mandatory days off, she won't tell us the real details why or know much but she said it's to compensate for all the extra long hours we've been putting in.

I don't now how true that is in the situation with covid, is this a sign there may be temporary work reduction or layoff soon? Why would she urgently tell us we have to take vacation days. The kicker is she apparently still has to work, and we are not to check our emails or work the next 2 days. For context i work at one of the big financial institutions.
