I got a second job at a grocery store for part time grocery backshift (so it won’t interfere with my day job) to get rid of my debt and its been a mess since I got hired. I applied online and got a call from a recruitment agent from head office literally the next day. They hired me on the spot and told me to go that store for 8am the next day. The first thing that got me suspicious was that they just told me to go to the store and after asking they had no idea what I was going in for. So I go in and no one knows who I was and why I was there. Later on in the day they somewhat figured out what I was doing there, put me in a department (personal shopper) that I did not apply for but scheduled me in for a shift in grocery 2 days later. I go in for the shift for grocery backshift and I was greeted by a very bitter night manager that also had no idea who I was. He acted like I was more like an inconvenience rather than help and pawned me off to another worker who acted somewhat the same (he got somewhat better over the night). A few days go by and I get a shift a week and half after the last shift I worked. I kept looking at the schedule every day and I wake up at 1pm the day before my shift to see if they gave me and new upcoming ones. They changed two shifts to days at 8am and the wrong department (one of which was that day so I missed it since they changed it sometime when I was sleeping). I was so frustrated at this point that I applied to a rival grocery store. So I go in the next day for the 8am shift and they still have no idea who I am and end up standing there for a half hour before they get me an order. I let them know right off the bat that I was supposed to be grocery backshift and later that day they said they’d put me back on backshift, they did half that because they gave me backshift to that department with full time hours. I go in for an interview with the rival grocery store and they offer me a position for 2-3 shifts a week when my notice is up. So I figured working full time isn’t feasible since I have the other job and need sleep. However I don’t mind working full time during my notice so I can finally destroy debt a little earlier than I expected. My concern is since they’ve had no problem with switching departments and shifts that they’ll tell me to just leave. I'm not putting it on my resume, I'm not getting any references so really I’m debating on quitting without notice in 2 weeks. I feel bad about it but at the same time they’ve had no problem screwing me around.
TLDR: Second job is screwing with me, got another job lined up, might not put in noticed because I could get out of debt during 2 weeks notice but they could also let me go.
