I'll be succinct and to the point.
I've heard that large corporations have a hiring quota for visible minorities. So it is possible that if you are a visible minority you may be more likely to get a job based on how many minorities a company has to hire (definitely a double-edge sword as there are many instances where minorities are discriminated against in the hiring process).
Do corporations have a similar kind of quota for LGBTQ people? Furthermore, if I just identified as a member of the LGBTQ community, is it possible I would be more likely to get a job based on their required quota (also providing I'm a good fit for the job, just like all of the other 200 candidates...)?
