job change during covid-19

i currently work in consulting (banking industry). i've been with my current company for seven years, and am presently in a senior manager role with ~20 direct reports and ~400 indirect reports. work environment is toxic, i feel burnt out, and over time i have learned i am not a fan of people management.

pre-covid-19 (february) i interviewed with a bank for an SME, individual contributor role. in the role, i would work closely with a former colleague. we mesh very well, and part of the appeal of the role was the opportunity to work with her again. no direct reports. i was offered the role today, as the bank received approval to resume hiring in may.

i'm struggling with the decision. i'm very unhappy in my current role, and don't see myself advancing further without destroying my mental health. compensation offered is within 5k of current comp, including annual bonus target. bank job is WFH 2-3 days/week, which is a perk. commute is equivalent, and i would no longer have to pay for parking in a downtown area ($80/month).

my current job is secure, though demand for our services will likely go down in the months following covid-19. still, i am at the top of the totem pole and would be one of the last to be let go. if i make the move, i'd be the first to be cut in the event of unanticipated covid-19 impact.

i know this is a pretty good "problem" to have in the current economic climate, but what else should i be thinking about as i consider this decision? would you make a move in this situation?
