In an interview, is it okay to mention interest in another position at the same company ?

I recently applied to a temporary lab tech job and was emailed back to set up a phone interview. However, I just found out today they had a long term lab tech job posting. Of course I am more interested in a long term position, so is it okay to bring that up during the interview?
