Former boss quit, new boss immediately shoots anything good coming my way that I had in writing in the pipeline. Is this something I can actually complain about, or do I just put in my notice?
I worked there for a few years, and the senior most employee had depths of envy rivaled that of mythological characters. Anything good happened to anyone, and she was there complaining about why they don't deserve it or it's unfair or why they can't have it, and using what seniority she had to block what she could.
I had built a lot of credit with my old boss, but her son has passed away. She left on short notice. This pulled up the senior most employee to fill the position. I actually had in writing a number of plans for me that were being considered by my old boss. These were denied immediately, loudly, that there were ever any plans for these things (that I have in writing). They insist on every single point it can't or couldn't happen for XYZ reasons, and immediately stuffed all open positions under them with people with minimal credentials.
I'm looking for a better job. The company isn't great, and I'm overqualified. I'm tempted to put in my notice, but mostly I would like to know what kind of leeway I might have in any official complaints. Nothing like this has happened to me before.
