I have been laid off for almost 4 weeks due to being declared nonessential. I always feel that, if you don't have a job, your job is finding a job, which is exactly what I did. I found a new job for even more money, and was hired. I emailed my former employer and told him I would not be returning, and he texted me back and freaked out. He was like "whatever happened to giving proper two weeks' notice?"
Was I wrong to not give two weeks'notice, even though I haven't been his employee for almost a month now?
