Anyone else planning on quitting due to what the pandemic has shown you about your workplace? Sure, I’m fortunate to still have an income (even though I’d make more on the modified unemployment). That’s not the point. The point is the higher ups have made my job a living nightmare since I’ve started working from home. The work gets done quickly and timely, no one has been left hanging, and I’ve been in constant communication. Yet my bosses have become so petty, passive aggressive, and immature. They are firmly in the we should open the businesses back up/it’s no worse than the flu the Democrats blew it out of proportion to make trump look bad and ruin the economy camp. And they absolutely hate not having the control over their slaves that they normally have. What should have been a nice slowdown for everyone has been horrid. My coworker still in the office said she just keeps her head down because they are actively looking for things to get mad about. It sucks so much for everyone.
So I’ve got my two weeks notice ready to go. Good luck, because the company is under a hiring freeze and you won’t be able to replace my position for who knows how long.
