(USA) Recently graduated with a master’s degree in human rights law, was beginning to apply to positions in immigration law right as the outbreak began – what do I do now?
I had just been forced to move back to the US due being unable to find a work visa sponsor-able position in the UK after graduating with a degree in human rights law (and a previous BA in political science and history) when the outbreak began gaining traction here - I had been back for only two days. I know this situation is monumentally huge but I can’t help being frustrated that I don’t have work, I don’t have school, and immigration systems are closing down for the indefinite future. I can’t even get the minuscule stimulus check from the government as my parents claimed me as a dependent. I’m here at my family’s home stuck with nothing to do professionally when I want a career trajectory job so badly. Any advice? Are places even going to hire?
