Social Media Associate?

A few months ago, I graduated with a degree in English. It's gone about how you'd expect. Maybe even worse since the only work experience I've got is a year as an office assistant. This company I'm interested in recently put up a listing for a social media associate. I've got no experience in social media, and no real online presence. Would it be worth it to apply for this job since its an entry level position? I'm taking a social media class online, and I'd like to think I'm a pretty good writer.

I know it seems like a reach but its starting to feel like everything's a reach.
