Question around HireRight and the details some employers give with prior employment

Hi all, while going through a HireRight screen I was doing some research to understand how the process works.

It seems that for some large companies (Microsoft, AT&T), when one goes to verify someone's prior employment with them, that they only a yes/no and dates. No job titles, no salary. Does this sound correct?

Hard to verify, so wanted to see if this sounds correct to anyone else more familiar with this space. Thanks!
