Hi r/jobs
I am 23/M and work in IT, college graduate, 3 years experience. Still very entry level, have been looking for another job since November or so. If this is not allowed on this sub, please let me know/delete it.
Recently, I had an interview with $company for a sysadmin position. $company (MSP) currently has >20 employees. During that interview the individuals interviewing me made me extremely uncomfortable. Their tone of voice had that "you're so dumb" every time I would ask a question about systems they used or how they go about X. At the end, we discussed company culture among other items. I was told multiple times, "you NEED thick skin to work here" and "we don't let our EMOTIONS get in the way of our work".
I was given an offer, and that offer certainly isn't bad. However, based on the interview I am extremely reluctant to accept. Even after the interview was over, it just didn't seem like our personalities meshed well.
With that, and knowing I am not a good team fit. Should I still accept the offer? My obvious response is "no" based on the interview, but I'd like some other opinions as well.
Thanks for your help.
