I'm 20 years old and haven't started a path but I'm ready. My college options are an Associates or maybe Bachelors if I stretch. I've spent many hours over the past few weeks browsing career options but I feel like no matter what job it is I find multiple stories saying "I have a Masters in X, a Bachelors in X and 600 applications later I still can't find a job in this field after 3 years."
My ideal job would meet these conditions as closely as possible.
- Not on my feet for long periods of time.
- Able to make at least 50k+ annually within 4-5 years of beginning the career path.
- Consistent schedule. This includes not having to work extensive overtime.
- Good chances of employment in a sociable area like a city.
Am I shooting to high? Is my only option to throw out the first condition and do a trade? I'm a decent looking guy in case that affects any options.
Also, not sure about the last condition but i've always been jealous of cities. Just seems like there is so much more going on there.
