I need some advice on what to do in my current situation. 18 years old

I've worked for a construction company over the summer and now I am working at a restaurant for about 9 months that isn't paying very well and isn't moving me up in positions very fast. I was looking for jobs and was wondering what I should do in my situation. Don't want to go back into a restaurant position. Carpet cleaning and lawn care are my top choices but those are in the summer and the carpet cleaning needs me to finish high school first. Should I get a different job now and then go to the carpet cleaning once I finish school and if so. The other option would be to either stick it out or go without a job for a few months which I wouldn't want to do. Any advice?
